Canazei (1465 m) with its villages of Gries, Alba and Penia, is one of the main tourist destinations in the Fassa Valley, nestled between the impressive Dolomites: Marmolada (3342 m, the Queen of the Dolomites), the Sella Group (3152 m) and the Gran Vernèl (3058 m). The most stunning mountains in the world in an unspoilt white landscape await you in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Dolomiti Superski region is a real winter wonderland: 15 ski resorts, cutting-edge mountain lifts, 1200 km of fantastic downhill runs, long slopes and gentle routes, sun, fun and good memories. The region boasts top-quality skiing for both beginners and experienced skiers, all against a backdrop of stunning scenery. A total of 450 lifts.
Canazei is considered one of the ski capitals of the world, here in winter you can spend whole days on some of the most popular slopes of the Dolomiti Superski circuit, one of the largest ski resorts in Europe with a state-of-the-art ski lift system and over kilometers of slopes. From the city center you can easily reach Belvedere-Col Rodella, Buffaure-Ciampac and Marmolada, favorite destinations for all ski and snowboard enthusiasts. Let yourself be conquered by Canazei and discover its twin souls: the modern and the old. Canazei from the 21st century has luxury hotels, acclaimed restaurants, charming shops and bars open until late at night, while the historic center is lined with houses decorated as if they had come straight out of a fairy tale, small artisan shops and bell towers with pointed spires. The combination of these two aspects is what makes Canazei one of the jewels of the Fassa Valley and the perfect destination for an alpine holiday.
